Privacy Policy — Quixess Community Copilot

Quixess Community Copilot (“the Extension”) is published by Quixess Inc. This policy describes what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

1. Data We Collect

1.3 Data we do NOT collect

Browsing history or URLs of pages you do not analyze
Passwords or credentials for third-party sites
Personal messages, DMs, or private conversations
Data from pages where you do not interact with the Extension
Cookies or tracking identifiers from third-party sites

2. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is sent to the Quixess backend API over HTTPS and is used exclusively to:

Analyze posts — AI classifies posts for intent, relevance, and engagement opportunity.
Generate responses — AI drafts contextual replies in multiple tones for your review.
Populate your dashboard — Saved items appear in your Quixess dashboard for tracking.
Log activity — Your activity hub shows scan history and action counts.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data Storage and Security

Authentication tokens are stored in ephemeral browser storage (cleared when the browser closes) unless you select “Remember me”, in which case the token (not your password) is stored locally.
Cached analysis results expire automatically within 5 minutes (maximum 10 entries).
Popup state is cached locally with a 5-minute TTL to restore your view if the popup closes.
All network requests use HTTPS with Bearer token authentication.
No data is stored on disk outside of Chrome’s built-in storage APIs.

4. Permissions

Permission	Why it is needed
activeTab	Read the content of the current tab when you click Analyze, Scan, or use a keyboard shortcut. Only activates on your explicit action.
storage	Store authentication tokens, cached results, and popup state.
scripting	Inject content scripts on demand into the active tab when you interact with the extension.
notifications	Show scan results and analysis scores when you use keyboard shortcuts.
Host permissions (quixess.com)	Communicate with the Quixess backend API and relay authentication from the dashboard. This is the only host permission requested.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates only with:

Quixess backend API — for all AI analysis, saving, and account operations
Supported websites — only to read publicly visible page content when you initiate an action

No analytics SDKs, ad networks, or third-party trackers are included in the Extension.

6. Data Retention

Saved items and activity logs are retained for as long as your account is active.
Cached data in the Extension expires automatically within 5 minutes.
You can delete saved items and activity logs from your dashboard at any time.

7. Your Rights

You may:

Delete your data by removing saved items or deleting your Quixess account.
Revoke access by signing out of the Extension or uninstalling it.
Request a data export by contacting [email protected].

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
