Privacy Policy: Quixess Social (TikTok Integration)

Quixess Social (“the Platform”) is published by Quixess Inc. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect data when you connect your TikTok account to Quixess Social via TikTok Login and the TikTok Content Posting and Display APIs.

1. Data We Collect Through TikTok

1.1 Data you authorize via TikTok Login

When you connect your TikTok account, you grant Quixess Social specific scopes. We only access data covered by the scopes you approve:

1.3 Data we do NOT collect

Your For You feed or browsing activity
Direct messages on your TikTok account
Videos or data from other people’s TikTok accounts
Watch history, search history, or contacts
Ad account data or payment information

2. How We Use Your Data

Data accessed through the TikTok integration is used exclusively to provide Quixess Social features:

Content publishing: Upload and publish videos you create in our content studio to your connected TikTok account, only when you initiate the action.
Analytics: Display follower growth, video performance, and account stats in your dashboard.
Content sync: Keep your dashboard in sync with your TikTok videos and their metrics.

We do not sell, rent, or share your TikTok data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Quixess Social service.

3. Data Storage and Security

All TikTok API communication uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
Access and refresh tokens are stored in our secured database and are never exposed to the frontend or included in client-side code.
TikTok data is stored in per-tenant isolated databases, ensuring your data is never mixed with another organization’s.
Tokens are refreshed using the stored refresh token. Expired or revoked tokens are discarded.
Infrastructure is hosted on secured cloud environments with role-based access controls.

4. Data Deletion and Revocation

You can revoke Quixess Social’s access to your TikTok data at any time through any of these methods:

Disconnect from dashboard: Go to Settings → Connections, find your TikTok connection, and click “Disconnect”. All synced data (account info, videos, metrics) is deleted immediately.
Revoke via TikTok: In the TikTok app, go to Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions, find Quixess Social, and remove access.
Request via email: Contact [email protected] to request full data deletion.

When access is revoked, all associated account data, video metadata, metrics, and tokens are permanently removed from our systems within 24 hours.

5. Data Retention

Synced TikTok data is retained for as long as your TikTok account remains connected and your Quixess account is active.
If you disconnect your TikTok account or delete your Quixess account, all TikTok data is deleted within 24 hours.
We do not retain TikTok user data after access has been revoked.

6. Third-Party Services

The TikTok integration communicates only with:

TikTok APIs (open.tiktokapis.com), to read your account and video data and to publish content you initiate
Quixess backend API: to store and process your data securely

Our use of the TikTok APIs complies with the TikTok Developer Terms and content sharing guidelines. No analytics SDKs, ad networks, or third-party trackers are involved in the TikTok integration.

7. Your Rights

You may:

Revoke access at any time by disconnecting from your Quixess dashboard or removing the app from your TikTok account settings.
Request data deletion by disconnecting your account or contacting [email protected].
Request a data export by contacting [email protected].

8. Children's Privacy

Quixess Social is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors through the TikTok integration or any other part of the service.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the TikTok integration after changes constitutes acceptance.
